This notice covers the GoMain website at gomain.com and communications with GoMain, including support for our apps and services.
Visiting the site
We do not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or tracking cookies to this website. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes connection information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and protect the site.
The sound lab
Audio is generated on your device, in your browser. The sound lab does not access your microphone, record audio, or send your sound selections to us.
Getting in touch
Email links open your email application. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send, including your email address, and use it to respond and discuss your project. Please avoid sending sensitive information in an initial inquiry.
App support
If you contact us about a GoMain app, we receive the app and device details, problem descriptions, and attachments you choose to share. We use this information to respond to your request and investigate the issue. Please remove personal information from screenshots and do not send passwords or payment card details.
Privacy in individual apps
Data practices can differ between apps. Apps with a section below are covered by it; for any other app, contact us with its name.
Tidewater Icons (Mac app)
Tidewater Icons: Folder Themes, shown on your Mac as Tidewater, is made by GoMain Media, Inc. It collects nothing. It has no account or sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting, and it makes no network requests of its own. It does not collect, transmit or sell personal data, and it does not track you across apps or websites.
What stays on your Mac. When you allow Tidewater to change a folder, macOS gives the app a security-scoped bookmark for it, which the app keeps in its own preferences so it can change that folder's icon again without asking. The selected pack, the folders you skipped and whether you have seen the welcome tour are stored there too. The app writes short diagnostic entries to the macOS unified log, where file paths are marked private and redacted by macOS; these never leave your Mac unless you choose to share them. All of it stays inside the app's own container on your Mac.
Purchases. Tidewater Plus is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment and holds your purchase history; GoMain does not receive your name, payment details or Apple Account. The app checks your Plus entitlement with Apple to unlock packs, and Apple’s privacy policy applies to that transaction.
Sharing, retention and children. The app shares no data with anyone, and because nothing is collected, GoMain retains nothing from it. The app is not directed at children. If you email us about Tidewater, the “App support” section above applies.
Stickies Plus (Mac app)
Stickies Plus has its own privacy policy. In short: it collects nothing, has no account or analytics, and keeps your notes on your Mac and in the sync folder you choose.
Janitor: Build Cache Cleaner (Mac app)
Janitor runs entirely on your Mac. It has no account, no analytics and no network access, and collects nothing: no identifiers, no usage data and no crash reports beyond what macOS itself offers to share with Apple under your own settings.
What it reads. Only the folders you approve in the macOS open panel. Janitor remembers that permission with a security-scoped bookmark stored on your Mac so it can scan the same folders next time. It never reads anything outside those folders.
What it removes. Only build output inside those folders, for example a target folder next to a Cargo.toml, and only when you clean or on the schedule you configured.
What it stores. Your watched folders, preferences and a local history of clean-ups, in the app's own sandbox container. Nothing is sent anywhere.
